How to perform :
  1. Interlock all the fingers.
  2. Join the Index fingers to each other. Keep them straight, pointing upwards.
  3. Join the Thumbs together and extend them downwards.
  4. Keep the other fingers interlocked.
  5. Keep your hands in front of the navel.
  6. Keep your spine and head straight, shoulders relaxed.
Benefits of Uttarbodhi Mudra :
  • Uttarbodhi Mudra can also be called the mudra of Enlightenment. As the sun of enlightenment dawns, fears are dispelled. 
  • Strengthens Space element associated with the energy of the lungs and colon.

  • Increases Vital Force in the body and circulates it throughout the body.

  • Use when you feel physically or mentally apathetic.
  • Helps you relax.
  • If you need a catchy idea or a brainstorm, perform the Uttarbodhi mudra.
  • Increases inhalation.
  • Opens the areas of the Heart and Lungs, having a refreshing effect. 
  • Space Element has a direct relationship with the nervous system and with anything that triggers electrical and/or energetic impulses. 
  • These are the internal and external forms that connect man with the environment and the cosmic forces. 
  • The Space element drives the universal life force, also called chi or prana, from the outside to the inside.
  • It is also responsible for charging the internal energy storage. 
  • This mudra is like a lightning rod, and can be practiced before giving a lecture, teaching, or writing a class. 
  • Lets you connect with the divine forces which help you with your work on the one hand, and on the other hand, connect to the listeners and/or readers or the students.
